It gives me great pleasure to introduce the online publication of “Bangladesh Journal of Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprology.” I would like to thank the editorial and advisory board members for their significant contributions to achieving this goal. Currently, dermatophytosis and scabies are the two major challenges faced by most of the dermatologists in Bangladesh. Conventional drugs have failed to treat these conditions in many cases. There is little possibility for the invention of new antifungal and scabicidal drugs on the market within a short period of time. We have to win this war with everything we have.

I am hopeful that our online publication will play an important role in this regard. I hope our high standard of quality publication will continue by following strict criteria for acceptance of an article.
